Manage technology assets on behalf of customers as part of the IT business and lifecycle for hardware (computers, network hardware, server/storage infrastructure, mobile devices) and software licensing.
Service Includes
- Entry into the asset management system
- Tracking assets during use
- Disposal at end of life
- Computer inventory of assets on the network
- Validate and coordinate hardware maintenance renewals
- Validate and coordinate software license and subscription renewals
- Access to no-cost vendor contracts for IT-related equipment disposals and hard drive sanitization/destruction
NOTE: ITS-facilitated equipment disposals are dependent on availability of resources
Prerequisites
- Computers must have ITS endpoint management software installed
- Agency points of contact to authorize and coordinate work
- Software must be ITS standard or ITS approved
- Items must be purchased using ITS policies and procedures
What Is Excluded
While we are dedicated to comprehensive support, there are certain exclusions:
- Computers and other devices not connected to the Idaho State Network or otherwise unknown to ITS inventory tracking tools
- Non-standard/unapproved software
Customer Responsibility
We believe in a collaborative partnership where both parties share responsibilities. Customers are expected to:
- Complete annual asset reporting to the State Controller’s Office as required by statute
- Fund costs specific to their agency
