Threat actors are both creative and persistent in their efforts to avoid detection. One emerging tactic we face today is known as “Fast Flux.” This attack involves a group of automated bots using shifting addresses to bypass security controls.
To defend against this and other threats, our cyber defenders employ a mix of counter tactics, including monitoring threat actors’ addresses, using advanced firewall filtering, implementing endpoint protection rules, and applying reputation scoring. Despite the varying tactics, the goal remains the same: to get someone to click a malicious link to deploy malware or capture credentials. Our users can counter these threats by carefully scrutinizing links in emails, validating the legitimacy of websites, and staying calm when presented with urgent messages.
