Supporting ISP’s New CAD/RMS Launch

ISP CAD/RMS

Idaho State Police (ISP) is preparing for one of the most significant technology upgrades in its history: the launch of a new Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Records Management System (RMS), provided by Tyler Technologies. This system will modernize dispatch operations, streamline records management, and ultimately strengthen public safety services across the state.

Recognizing the importance of this transition, ISP reached out to ITS. Our teams have stepped up in a big way, going above and beyond to make sure ISP is set up for success.

Key Contributions from ITS

  • UEM Team – Successfully built and deployed a software package that pushes the new CAD/RMS client statewide, ensuring every workstation is ready for go-live.
  • Application Development (AppDev)– Assisted in preparing and integrating complex GIS data so it can be leveraged effectively within the new system.
  • Embedded Support Team – Worked directly with ISP staff to configure barcode scanners that will improve evidence processing and chain-of-custody workflows.

Looking Ahead

There is still work underway to fine-tune the system before ISP’s official go-live date Sept. 25th. ITS remains committed to supporting ISP through this critical milestone, and making sure there is a smooth transition into their new CAD/RMS environment.

This effort demonstrates what we do best: collaborating across teams, solving complex technical challenges, and helping our partner agencies succeed.
